Eligibility Criteria – Robert S. Stewart Jr. Criminal Justice Scholarship Fund

To be considered for the Robert S. Stewart Jr. Criminal Justice Scholarship Fund, applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

• Be a graduating high school senior planning to enroll at an accredited college or university within the United States.

• Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

• Be pursuing a degree in criminal justice or a related field (such as criminology, law enforcement, forensic science, legal studies, or public safety).

• Demonstrate leadership qualities and a strong commitment to justice and community service through extracurricular involvement, volunteer work, or academic projects.

• Submit a 500–1000 word essay discussing their interest in the criminal justice field, what motivates them to pursue this path, and how they plan to make a positive impact in their community.

• Provide two letters of recommendation: one from a teacher or academic advisor and one from a community leader, employer, or mentor (non-family members).

• Complete the scholarship application form and submit all required documents by the specified deadline.

Selection Process

All applicants will be evaluated based on their eligibility, essay response, academic performance, and demonstrated commitment to justice and public service. Financial need will also be considered in the selection process.
